For children who've
been through the worst,
we need the best.
Become a
Treatment Foster Parent
Some children who experience trauma as a result of abuse and neglect require a higher level of care
They need someone who can provide structure, consistency and routine in a stable and nurturing environment. A truly special someone to help them heal from past trauma and develop new coping skills. A strong, steady and sure presence -- just like you -- dedicated to making them feel safe and secure in building relationships with others.

"You won’t always feel ready. But you’ll never be alone. We stand behind the ones who step forward.”
The hardest job deserves the best support:
You will be specially trained.
Treatment Foster Parents undergo more extensive training than traditional foster parents. Your 60 hours of specialized, evidence-based instruction will prepare you to employ ‘trauma-informed care’, build skills in de-escalation, and discover how to facilitate healthy attachments to children placed in your home.
Download the Curriculum Overview.
You will receive elevated support.
Your treatment team leader will check in with you every week. Your assigned case worker will offer guidance as you settle into your caregiver role. Your per diem will be increased to meet the additional needs of the child in your home. And should ever you need immediate assistance with a situation, you have 24/7 access to agency staff.
You will be a key member of the team.
Along with the child’s caseworker, therapist, and TFC supervisor, you will play an active role in the development and implementation of the child’s treatment service. Each child has a personalized treatment plan that is regularly reviewed and adjusted to meet their evolving needs, often including therapy, behavioral interventions, and medication monitoring.

“This child may push you to your limits. That’s why you’re exactly the kind of person they need.”
